{DIY} Cross-Stitch Personalized Keychain

May 03, 2009

This is a simple and cute cross-stitching project that I made for my brother. My brother always complain I never make anything for him so I decided to make him a keychain with his name on it. This is a very simple project. I got the cross-stitch canvas from China town. It was originally a lanyard but I took out the strap and attached a bell with a keyring. I drew out some of his favourite things, Japanese onigiri and mushrooms onto a grid paper and counted the squares in order to stitch them out.

You will need:

  • Cross-stitch canvas
  • Keyring
  • Grid paper
  • thread and needle
  • Pencil

Cross-stitch doesn't need to be too complicated :)
