How to Turn From A Microwave Mealer To A Top Chef

February 20, 2020

If you’re someone who can hold your hands up and say that you would rather put a meal in the microwave rather than find something to cook, then you can join the millions of people around the world who feel the same. When it comes to cooking, you’re either going to be someone who absolutely loves to do it, or you’ll be the type to stare at a recipe, get it wrong twice, and give up and order a takeaway. But that’s all fine. No matter what anyone says, cooking is something that can easily be learned. There’s no trick question or hidden ingredients, everything is given to you in black and white, all you need to do is follow a recipe and it should come out near enough the same. It’s never going to look as good or possibly even be as good as the picture on the recipe, or as a meal you’d find in a restaurant, but it is going to be so much better for you than cramming a meal into the microwave. So, if you keep on reading, we’re going to hope to transform the way that you cook.

How to Turn From A Microwave Mealer To A Top Chef

Meal Order Services

There are so many meal order services that you can try, and we know that they’re going to completely transform the way that you cook your food. All of a sudden you can go for meals that are already prepped for you, to meals that are nearly prepped for you. There are services that deliver the ingredients to your door and recipe cards come with it. So it takes away the troubles you’ll have of trying to find the foods in the shop, and actually walking around the shops to do a food shop. All you then have to do is follow the recipe card and you have a meal ready to go. They’re usually so easy to follow, so healthy, and taste amazing. For someone who hates every aspect of cooking, even shopping, this can be a saviour.

Something New To Try

Now it’s time to step it up a notch and try making something new in the kitchen. This is a chance for you to test any skills that you do have, and just to get creative with your cooking. The more challenging something is, the more rewarding it’s going to be. So, if you love Indian food, why not try making your own samosa chaat? They’re not exactly the easiest to make, but homemade Indian food is just to die for, if you like it that is. We know that not everyone is a fan, so you could try making your own spring rolls if Chinese is more your style. It’ll be a trial and error sort of thing, but so much better for you than if you were to buy them from the shop premade, or even order them from an Indian.

Going All Out

Finally, why not go all out and come up with your own recipe in the kitchen. Going freestyle and seeing what you can come up with is often so much more fun that having the stress of trying to figure out how to follow a recipe. You never know what you might come up with by doing it this way.

  6. Yes, going freelance and try to come up with your own version of a dish makes cooking so much fun! I usually make my own food and follow the recipe a couple of times. But, if I make it for a long time, than I come up my recipe.

  12. Great suggestions. I love cooking personally, especially baking. Sometimes I just like to go into the kitchen and throw thing together and see what happens. Those subscription meal programs are a really great way to learn to cook or learn to cook new things though.

  14. Thank ugh I've never ordered a meal prep service, I've always wanted to! My concerns are typically the quality of ingredients though, but I'm sure it's a great starting point. And definitely better than living off microwave heated food.
