I'm so excited to share this printable Mother's day card with you all today! Unlike my mother's day colouring card design that you can colour in yourself, this card is created with bright and vibrant florals already. Appreciation gifts don't need to be store-bought and expensive. A thoughtful handmade card is even more meaningful.

My mom is actually having the best time travelling in Germany right now. And she deserves it. She worked hard all her life to provide my brother and I a healthy and comfortable environment to grow up in. Even though we don't get to celebrate with her until when she gets back but that doesn't stop me from showing my appreciation to her. Thanks for everything, mom!

Free Printable Mother's Day Card Template: 

Measures 5" x 7" folded

Card Instructions:

1. Print out the template on any 8.5" x 11" paper/cardstock 
2. Cut along the trim lines and score along the fold lines
3. Fold the card along the score/fold line
4. Write your message inside
5. Place in an envelope

I'm so excited for May to finally arrive! It's going to be a busy but fulfilling month for me. I've got a bunch of fundraising events all happening this month! If you've read my previous posts, I posted about my DIY wreath for Spring - you could read about how I made it here. Although, I really like how it turned out but the weather here in Toronto isn't coorperating and still doesn't feel like Springtime. But, that's okay. I'm going to make everything around me feel like Spring. And today, I'm sharing you this free colouring printable card for Mother's Day! With a wreath too! After all, Mother's day is fast approaching and if you're going for the DIY route, you'd probably want to get a head start :) This printable can be personalized easily by simply printing it out on a letter-sized paper and colouring it in with markers or pencil crayons.

Instagram is by far the most used app on my phone. To be honest, I'm a little addicted to it, especially ever since they added Insta-Stories. I'm always so curious to know what my friends are doing and what the people I'm following have been up to. Of course, I've fun posting about the bits and pieces of my life as well. Now, with the feature of adding Insta-story highlights to your profile, it's even easier to customize your profile further to add your own flare. You might have noticed that a lot of bloggers added some pretty covers for their Insta-highlights as a way to make their brand more holistic. And today, I'm going to show you how you can do that for yourself too!

For this tutorial, you don't need any advanced graphic design software or skills. All you need is access to the internet. Let's get started!

Instructions:

1. Visit Canva.com

Go to my favourite design site, Canva.com and create an account for free. 

2. Create a Design

Create a design using custom dimension and enter 720 for width x 1280 for height. This is a 9:16 aspect ratio that fits nicely in your stories.

3. Select Background

Next, go to Background on the left panel and select a pattern or a colour. For this tutorial, I want to make a pink background using colour code #f8b5bb by clicking on the + button in Document Colours. 

4. Choose Your Icons

Select Elements on the left panel and select Icons. Drag and drop an icon to the canvas that best represents your cover stories. For example, fork and knifes for Food, plane for Travel etc. Change the icon colour by selecting the palette at the top left corner.
