My tummy tells me that I should stop having the same toast and eggs for breakfast every morning and instead feed it with something more satisfying. Alright, so I made the simplest crepe ever with the ingredients that I could find in my kitchen. The crepe took 10 minutes max to prep and finish. The most important meal of the day could not get any better than this.

After the great success in my homemade Timbits, I've decided to make another dish with cinnamon. With the influence of my dad, I've modified this recipe from Jenny Steffens of French Toast Souffle into a Cinnamon & Raisin French Toast Souffle.

Have you guys picked up a costume for Halloween this year? or are you looking for a last minute costume idea? I love Halloween. It's the only time other than your birthday that you can dress up and be foolish without anybody judging you. Like my previous years of Halloween, I did a last minute scramble from my closet to find something to dress up for. It also needs to be work appropriate. Knowing that most of my colleagues at my department would not be dressing up, I didn't want to be over the top and crazy with full costumes and make up. Check out my Halloween costume ideas.
This year, I decided to dress up as Bullet Bill. This is also an easy DIY Halloween costume/outfit for people who are last minute like me. Let's get started!

How wonderful would it be to be able to make Timbits in the comfort of your own home? You can control the flavour and sweetness however you like at a fraction of the cost. Not to mention no more waiting in line and you can have them anytime you want! I found out that with my cake pop machine, I can not only make cake pops but also timbits! The process is definitely a lot simpler to make than normal cake pops with candy melt frosting. I enjoy making them a lot. They are gone pretty fast in my house.

My partner and I put together these cupcakes for a colleague's farewell to show off his adventurous and outdoor personality. I followed the process from Sweetopia on how to stencil cookies using royal icing and translated it onto fondants. I also created my own stencil using plastic transparency. It was pretty simple to do. I just need to cut out the shape using an exact-o-knife.

There seems to be a lot of hype around Kinton Ramen recently amongst my friends, which prompts my boyfriend and I to try it out. We've always enjoy a good bowl of ramen and do have a degree of expectation when we visit Kinton during the weekend. We were there at around 7pm and found out many groups have been waiting outside for seats already. We had to wait for 45 minutes on the street, where garbage were placed out. It was definitely not a good start to boost up my appetite. When we got in, we are welcomed by a very loud Japanese greetings, reminded me of an experience very much like from Guu Izakaya. We were seated at the bar tables, where we could clearly see the process of making their ramen. It was somewhat of an entertainment for both of us. They timed their ramen precisely at little bit less than 3 minutes of cooking time and flame torched the pork belly in a consistent hand motion. I almost thought they could do this without the timer or with their eyes closed already based on how popular their ramen is and how often they have to make per day.
I went to New York during the Civic Holiday long weekend with 4 of my closest friends and our significant others. I didn't realize we hadvnever been on a trip together after 15 long years of friendship! Geez... Although, I had been to New York when I was a child but my memory of this city was quite a blur. We travelled by Megabus for 14 hours long, which regretfully wasted most of our first day in New York. It was like I left my bum on the bus after we got off. It was so numb that I could barely feel a thing. On the bright side, we rented a pretty awesome penthouse apartment through airbnb.com on Queens. It was only a 5-minute walk to the nearest subway station, which minimized our travelling time each day.
Our trip mainly focused on food, shopping, some sightseeing and more food.
